Original Shellscape Art, Handcrafted Coastal Art, One-of-a-Kind Pieces 

Created within my dedicated workshop, design room, and studio—using specialist tools and machinery—each artwork is an original, hand-designed composition crafted entirely by hand from start to finish. Every stage of the process is approached with precision and intention, from constructing board and framing to selecting paints and materials of the highest quality.

Ethically sourced seashells, collected from around the world, are carefully chosen for their form, color, texture, and character. Each shell is individually placed and secured using professional-grade, waterproof, clear setting adhesives, ensuring both longevity and structural integrity. The final composition is thoughtfully designed, balancing scale, tone, texture, and shape to create a harmonious, sculptural shellscape.

From the initial build of the board and frame, through painting, mounting, wiring for hanging, and final detailing, no detail is overlooked. Due to the natural variation of materials and the hand-built nature of the process, no two pieces are ever the same—every commission is a singular work of art created exclusively for you.

Starting Prices

  • Small pieces start from: $1200+ nzd

  • Medium pieces start from: $2400+ nzd

  • Large pieces start from: $4800+ nzd

Final pricing depends on size, shell variety, texture depth, and complexity. A custom quote will be provided before work begins.

You may request:

  • Specific color tones

  • Shell types or themes

  • Neutral or bold designs

  • Vertical or horizontal orientation

Due to the natural variation of shells, exact replicas are not possible—this ensures every piece remains truly original.

 

Timeline

 To maintain the highest level of craftsmanship, I accept a strictly limited number of commissions—no more than three to four per month. Each piece is thoughtfully created and typically completed within approximately two months, with a bespoke delivery timeline provided upon confirmation of your commission.

  • Creation time: 4-8 weeks

  • Drying and sealing time included

  • Shipping time varies by location

Rush commissions may be available upon request.

  • Deposit required to begin (non-refundable once started)

  • Balance due before shipping

  • Payments accepted via: Stripe and PayPal

  • Customer is responsible for all Customs duties and taxes

  • Securely packaged for protection

  • Shipping cost calculated separately

  • Local pickup may be available

 

Ownership & Rights

  • Artwork is for personal use

  • Artist retains reproduction rights unless otherwise agreed

  • Commissioned pieces may be featured in my portfolio
